Overview:
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for both administrative tasks and patient care, serving as a crucial link between patients and our medical staff. The primary duties will include assisting the Provider in the delivery of health care and patient care management, performing a variety of medically related tasks and office duties.

 

They will play a key role in creating a positive patient atmosphere through excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication. As an active listener and champion in communicating with patients of all ages and backgrounds, they will ensure that their needs are met with empathy and understanding.

 

Additionally, they will be responsible for preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for each Mohs procedure performed in clinic. It will be essential for them to have knowledge of the procedures being performed and anticipate the needs of the physician. Their commitment to retaining necessary knowledge and ensuring safe, quality patient care will be paramount.

 

Moreover, they will work in all aspects of instrument reprocessing, including decontamination and sterilization. Your attention to detail and adherence to best practices will contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of our clinical operations.

 

We are seeking a candidate who can receive in-the-moment feedback well and actively seek opportunities for learning and growth in a team environment. Their willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive work culture will be paramount.

 

The Medical Assistant - Mohs Dermatology role is Monday - Thursday, 7:30am-5:00pm. Hours may vary slightly. 

 

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with CPR certification (available upon hire). While one to two years of experience in a clinical setting as a CNA, PCA, or MA is preferred, we welcome individuals who are open to learning and educating themselves in medical terminology.
