Overview:
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) seeks a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator to join our surgical and GI teams, providing nursing care within our ASC for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. 

Responsibilities:
The RN Circulator's responsibilities include gathering supplies for surgeries and procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and communicating with the team. They organize care efficiently, update preference cards, and promptly report equipment issues. Additionally, they use equipment competently, set up sterile fields, and anticipate needs. The RN Circulator performs counts, disposes of materials properly, cleans rooms, and assists in inventory management. They label medications, participate in policy development, and stay updated in nursing practice. Providing leadership, mentoring new staff, and completing patient assessments and phone calls are essential. The RN Circulator demonstrates effective communication, participates in meetings and training, and identifies and addresses inefficiencies. They also offer patient support and coordination.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have:

 

Current Illinois RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification (PALS preferred).

Training will be provided for this role, however, 1 year peri-operative experience preferred.
