Overview:
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to join our team. QMG is a multi-specialty group practice with more than 155 physicians and providers in West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri. Responsibilities:
The Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician performs routine tests in the medical laboratory to provide data for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Works alongside a team of healthcare professionals, utilizing technical skills and attention to detail to provide accurate and reliable test results.

 

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Normal work schedule is 11:30 am - 7:30 pm/close. No holidays or weekends required. 

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an educational background in medical technology. Be detail oriented; possess excellent analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills. Adaptable to changes in departmental needs and displays a strong work ethic. Technically prurient with lab equipment and computer systems.

 

A bachelor’s degree and clinical training from an approved school of Medical Technology required, OR an associates degree and a graduate of an accredited MLT program required. ASCP certification required. One year of experience in a medical laboratory preferred.
