Acquire 3rd party content including photos and footage for use in NBCUniversal News Group properties. Programs include: Today, Nightly News, Dateline, Morning Joe, Squawk Box, Noticiero, etc.
Review and negotiate license agreements with 3rd party entities: including Sports, UGC providers, professional photographers as well as other News outlets.
Evaluate the status of acquired rights and potential restrictions in NBCUniversal News Group programming to ensure the ability to repurpose on ancillary platforms.
Act as a liaison between production, legal, finance and archives for all rights and clearances matters.
Vet content and flag potential clearance issues with management and legal prior to broadcast.
Update and manage internal database to indicate copyright source, contracts and license agreements.
Participate in educational workshops for client groups.
Build and foster good working relationships within the NBCUniversal News Group family.
