Overview:

We're seeking a motivated Tax Preparer to join our team on a part-time basis, with expanded hours during January through April tax season. Starting pay is $20/hour, with growth potential as you gain experience and credentials. Training with ongoing mentorship provided and company laptop supplied. This position is entirely remote; no direct client-facing interaction until you're ready. Great opportunity for degree seekers enroute for CPA licensure

---Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual and small-business tax returns under supervision
  • Assist with document organization, data entry and e-filings
  • Support bookkeeping and payroll tasks as required
  • Learn and apply tax strategies specific to our clients needs

---Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of income tax concepts (advanced experience not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working remotely using Zoom, email, SMS, cloud-tools
  • Reliable internet connection and professional work habits
