Compudopt's mission is to provide technology education and access to under-resourced youth and their communities. The Project Manager role will serve as a bridge and be responsible for optimizing project and grant management processes across the organization. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational objectives and compliance standards. This role will collaborate and work closely with other departments to align operational efficiencies with organizational goals. This remote position will report to the CXO and requires up to 5% travel for company-related meetings or events.

The Project Manager must act with integrity, be committed to achieving organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, and demonstrate accountability by starting with yes.

Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Lead or support the planning, coordination, and execution of grant-funded and internal projects from initiation through completion.
  • Serve as the primary liaison on projects to ensure goals, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and achieved.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, progress reports, and key performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align project goals with departmental objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Facilitate regular cross-departmental meetings to communicate progress, identify challenges, resolve issues, and track progress.

Grant Management and Execution

  • Manage project activities related to grants, including implementation, monitoring, and reporting in alignment with funder requirements.
  • Prepare and compile progress updates, budget tracking, and final reports for internal leadership and funders.
  • Provide support documentation, compliance, and audit readiness for all grant-related reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate budget oversight and timely fund utilization
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to optimize program outcomes and meet funding objectives.

Data, Reporting, and Communication

  • Track project performance metrics and prepare data-driven reports for internal review and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication and documentation to support transparency and accountability.
  • Contribute to presentations, summaries, and updates for leadership, funders, and other partners as requested

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between departments to coordinate project efforts and ensure alignment
  • Forster collaboration among internal teams, partners, and vendors to advance project outcomes
  • Provide guidance to team members on grant and project management timelines and expectations.
  • Coordinate data collection and evaluation processes to measure performance and outcomes
  • Ensure timely preparation, compilation, and maintenance of all grant or project-related documentation, including progress updates, financial tracking, compliance records, and final reports for internal leadership, funders, and audit purposes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline grant execution processes and improve internal communication.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and audit-ready records individually and in collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to optimize program outcomes and meet funding objectives
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED or associate's degree in nonprofit management, grant management, business administration, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in project management, in a nonprofit, or grants-funded environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans and outcomes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, , Smartsheet), Microsoft Office, Airtable, and Qualtrics.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field
  • 4-6 years of project management experience in a non-profit or grants-funded environment
  • Experience leading and working across cross-functional teams or departments, or strategic initiatives
  • Familiarity with data tracking, performance metrics, or impact reporting
  • Experience with outcome measurement and impact evaluation
  • Prior experience in a mission-driven or nonprofit organization environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across departments
  • Knowledge of grant budgeting, financial tracking, and audit preparation

Salary is one component of Compudopt's total compensation package, which also includes:
