Pathways is hiring a Project Manager to oversee critical program management office (PMO) projects for a portfolio of work focused on healthcare digital services, communications, and training.
Job Purpose: We are seeking a Digital Health Project Manager to manage one or more projects focused on the development, deployment, and adoption of digital and telehealth technologies across an enterprise customer's medical facilities, end-user or patient homes, and community locations. The successful candidate will have specific programmatic and/or technical experience with digital or virtual health products and technologies. This includes project management, product management, or technical management for digital health products and technologies, including mobile health applications, healthcare web applications, telehealth equipment and products, remote monitoring technologies, or health data collection tools. The candidate should understand how digital health technologies integrate into healthcare facilities and operations, healthcare workflows, remote / virtual care delivery, or home health.
You will play a key role in managing schedule, cost, risk, and technical elements. Projects span (but not limited to) agency initiatives, app and technology development and customization, product integration, equipment acquisition and integration, and product deployment. The technology spans software, hardware, equipment, and as-a-service capabilities.
As the Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects. You will analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project. Additionally, you will provide application systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources.
This is a remote position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop project schedules, roadmaps, and dashboards for digital health projects.
- Track and report metrics and analytics across the product development and adoption lifecycle.
- Use agile project management methodology to coordinate project activities and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Facilitate and manage meetings with cross-functional teams, including IT, healthcare providers, and external vendors.
- Conduct process improvement and workflow design/assessments for technology integration.
- Manage project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of digital health technologies.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, customers, end users, other contractors to ensure projects are progressing and issues are resolved.
- Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, customers, and other contractors to ensure project success.
- Manage cross-functional matrixed team members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams to achieve project objectives.
- Provide senior-level project management and oversight, ensuring responsibility for project success.
- Deliver oral presentations and prepare written reports to communicate project progress and recommendations to executives and clients.
- Implement and enforce the company's Quality Assurance Program for assigned projects.
- Guide and mentor junior project managers, providing support in client relations, regulatory processes, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Lead mid- and long-term planning efforts, define technical strategies and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Plan and manage project budgets and contribute to proposal development.
- Perform other duties that may arise in the scope of the task order.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of professional experience.
- Eight years of relevant experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Specific programmatic and/or technical experience in the areas covered by the contractual effort.
- Project management and/or technical leadership experience in a government, commercial, non-profit, or academic setting.
- Proven ability to solve technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other relevant software tools.
- Experience in stakeholder management and building productive relationships with team members from various departments, companies, or disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree and 6+ years of professional experience.
- Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal healthcare organizations.
- Experience managing VA telehealth or VA home health - OR - Have experience in a commercial setting in the management or development of digital health products and/or programs.
- Experience in managing virtual or telehealth projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
- Familiarity within healthcare operations, policy, or regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with digital health technologies.
- Proven track record of success in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in ever-changing work environment.
- Familiarity of agile project management methodology.
- Experience in change management and adoption of digital health solutions.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Travel: depending on client requirements, expect up to 15% travel time for the position.
