Project Accountant Manager

HAXEL Landscaping is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support administrative functions, contribute to cash flow management, and to act as a liaison between HXL's project managers, sub-contractors, architects/designers, and the accounting department.

The primary goal of this position is to insure that all invoices, for all departments, are created and sent out in a timely fashion with complete accuracy. The position reports to HXL's Principals & Business Manager.

This position is a support position that is critical to HAXEL operations. A general summary of the responsibilities are listed below:

Duties & Responsibilities

I. Project Setup

· Assemble project proposal information and signed contracts from designers and project managers and incorporate into accounting system.

· Transfer projects from excel spreadsheets into accounting software.

· Assign and record Purchase Orders for subcontractors and vendors.

· Scan subcontractor proposals into accounting software and enter subcontractor proposals for tracking purposes in accounting program.

II. Process Management

· Create customized forms tailored to individual jobs and departments to facilitate accurate and efficient recording of job expenses.

· Receive, record in accounting software, and pay subcontractor invoices.

· Review and validate project expenses and related data entered into accounting software by others.

· Interface with designers and project managers regarding status of projects and completion dates.

· Prepare job costing, accounts payable, job profitability, and other reports for Controller and Principals review.

· Assist clients needing additional information regarding invoices and statements.

III. Cash Flow Management

· Create invoices for Design, Hardscapes, Installation, and Maintenance Departments.

· Prepare, monitor, and distribute weekly project-specific financial reports (i.e.A/R, A/P) for designers and project managers.

· Monitor and support collections.

Required Skills

· Proficiency in Quickbooks software

· Excellent Microsoft Office skills

· Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to work efficiently

· Must have good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment

Pay: $65, $78,780.98 per year
