Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn in Anaheim, CA. The Night Auditor plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining guest relations during overnight hours, and supporting the smooth operation of the front desk. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in hospitality and excellent customer service skills who thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Bilingual abilities and experience with hotel management systems are highly valued. The Night Auditor will work audit two nights a week and front desk two to 3 days/nights a week, providing essential support to our guests and staff while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nightly audits of all financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments
  • Balance accounts and prepare audit reports for management review
  • Assist guests with late check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and courtesy
  • Manage multi-line phone systems and respond to guest requests promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, arrivals, departures, and billing information
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming during overnight hours
  • Support other hotel operations as needed, including concierge services and guest relations
  • Uphold hotel policies regarding security, confidentiality, and guest privacy

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations, particularly in night audit or front desk roles
  • Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and guest relations
  • Excellent phone etiquette and proficiency with multi-line phone systems
  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining attention to detail
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse guests
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and reservation systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of hospitality standards, resort operations, and hotel management practices
  • Exceptional organizational skills combined with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
