The Hotel Front Desk Clerk serves as the first point of contact for guests at our establishment, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out experience. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service, managing reservations, and addressing guest inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality, contributing to a positive atmosphere within the hotel.

Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest information.
  • Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using hotel management software.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Assist with night audit duties as required, ensuring all financial transactions are balanced at the end of each shift.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Address any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally to enhance their stay experience.

Skills

  • Proficient in phone systems to manage incoming calls effectively.
  • Previous experience in a resort or hotel environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a wider range of guests.
  • Knowledge of hospitality management principles is a plus.
