Job Description: Business Development Manager / Supplier Relations Manager UK
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Relations
- Develop, negotiate, and manage supplier agreements with hotels and other travel partners.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse market trends to identify new supplier opportunities and enhance existing partnerships.
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure exclusive deals, preferred rates, and value-added services.
- Act as the main point of contact for escalations and relationship management.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the agency's corporate and entertainment travel client portfolio.
- Develop and deliver tailored proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the Management team to implement lead generation and client acquisition strategies.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and supplier meetings to build brand visibility and foster partnerships.
- Track and report on business development pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in business travel, corporate travel management, or supplier relations.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proven track record in business development and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market and financial data.
- Proficiency in Sabre GDS system and travel technology platforms (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
