We are looking for a Local Advertising Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing our advertising campaigns on local radio, television and digital media. This role is crucial for increasing our brand presence and reaching our target audience through traditional media.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute local advertising strategies on radio and television.
  • Negotiate and purchase advertising space on local radio stations and TV channels.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging and effective ad content.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of advertising campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Stay updated on trends and best practices in radio, television, and digital advertising.
  • Manage the local advertising budget and ensure efficient investment.
  • Prepare detailed reports on campaign performance and present them to management.
  • Manage the budget, prepare expense reports, and develop reports and statistics.
  • Availability to work on weekends based on campaign requirements and needs.

Requirements:

  • Residence in McAllen, TX or surrounding areas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • Education or knowledge focused on Marketing and Advertising.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in purchasing and managing advertising media on radio and television.
  • Experience in digital media buying and management.
  • Experience in budget management, preparing expense reports, and developing reports and statistics.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish relationships with media outlets.
  • Knowledge of advertising analysis tools and metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Preferably have work references.
