The Data Analytics Manager plays a critical role in advancing the goals of the Government Grants Department by ensuring accurate, reliable, and actionable data is available for decision-making, reporting, and compliance. This position manages and enhances the department’s digital systems and processes that support the effective administration of government grant programs, with a strong focus on the Section 4 Capacity Building (CB) Grant. The Manager ensures data quality, develops reports and dashboards that demonstrate impact and inform strategic planning, and promotes efficiency and consistency in data practices.Within the Government Grants Department, this role engages all team members—including the Senior Director, directors, managers, supervisors, senior specialists, and specialists—to address data challenges, strengthen data practices, and train staff on the effective use of data tools and systems. The Manager also collaborates with other departments, such as IT, GCDR, GRA, and Affiliate Services, to align data processes, maintain reporting accuracy, and ensure compliance with organizational data security and privacy standards.Essential Duties: Data Systems & Process Management - 30%• Manage, enhance, and document digital systems and processes supporting Section 4 CB and other federal grants.• Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), data dictionaries, and related documentation to ensure consistent data definitions and practices.• Coordinate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and optimize system performance.• Implement archiving and data retention procedures to ensure compliance with recordkeeping and privacy requirements, including secure handling of PII.• Support system integrations and transitions (, Workday, Amp Impact), ensuring data integrity, compatibility, and continuity across platforms. Data Quality, Reporting & Analysis - 30%• Conduct data quality reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems and reports.• Enhance quarterly and ad hoc reporting to clearly demonstrate program impact and meet federal reporting requirements.• Translate data into actionable insights that inform program planning and decision-making.• Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations of key performance metrics and outcomes.• Collaborate with the Research and Measurement team to align Section 4 CB and other federal grant outputs and outcomes with organizational KPIs.Collaboration & Cross Departmental Coordination - 15%• Partner with IT, Finance, Compliance, and Affiliate Services to align data processes, integrate systems, and maintain consistent reporting standards.• Work closely with directors, managers, and key staff to develop tools and dashboards that support grant review, funding recommendations, and audit readiness.• Provide data and metrics to support grant applications, internal planning, and external reporting.• Serve as a liaison for the Government Grants Department in cross-functional data initiatives and system transitions.Training & Guidance - 15%• Develop and deliver training sessions and user guides on data systems, reporting tools, and management standards.• Provide individualized technical assistance and coaching to ensure consistent and proficient use of systems.• Promote a data-driven culture by engaging staff in identifying data challenges and improving practices.Compliance, Security & Continuous Improvement - 10%• Ensure compliance with federal data privacy, confidentiality, and record-keeping regulations through collaboration with IT, GG compliance team, GCDR and legal.• Maintain awareness of evolving federal grant data and reporting requirements to ensure continued alignment.• Promote continuous improvement by identifying data management efficiencies and recommending system or process enhancements.• Support change management efforts by helping plan, communicate, and implement new systems and data tools.• Enforce data security and privacy standards consistently across all systems and documentation. Minimum Requirements: Education• Bachelor’s degree in data management, information systems, statistics, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
