We are expanding the team and seeking Head of Data Products to join our Product Team. You will lead creation of 'data-as-a-product' business model with the mission of creating new business value from vast and diverse data generated through our various service offerings. You will be responsible for guiding Centro's data strategy, product management, project portfolio planning and delivery.

You will work with the business stakeholders, partners, engineering and other product teams to design and implement innovative data products and internal and external reporting capabilities at scale. You will use your creativity, business acumen, market and domain knowledge to design and build new products and services for our customers and internal users that drive innovative value, exponential growth, scale, and operational efficiencies for our organization.

You will be acting as a business strategist, product designer, market analyst, customer liaison, and workstream lead responsible for maximizing the value of the products created by the Data and Analytics Team.

This is a new role reporting to Chief Digital Officer with a newly created team of data product and technology experts. You will work with a high degree of autonomy collaborating with like-minded teammates building software from the ground-up. You will help create the vision, strategy and goals that are aligned with business objectives. You will be the link between the high-level perspective and the day to day work of your agile development team ensuring cohesive vision and the flexibility of the fast-paced agile product development are maintained and well balanced.

Key Responsibilities

Vision and Strategy:

  • Own the end-to-end strategy for data, analytics and reporting products, including roadmap development, prioritization, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and evolve the data and analytics product roadmap including our CRM aligned with business goal.
  • Promote data governance, quality, and regulatory and security compliance across all digital assets

Product Roadmap and Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the design, development and ongoing management of scalable data platforms, reporting tools and models, and self-service analytics.
  • Use Agile methodologies to assess the value of product features, develop business cases, and prioritize features and stories to ensure work aligns with the overall product strategy and customer value
  • Oversee end to end solution delivery ensuring the team is focused on the product vision and delivery commitments
  • Work closely with other Product Teams on effective coordination of release planning and dependencies
  • Lead the Iteration Planning and Product Releases
  • Play key role in surfacing and mitigating impediments impacting team's objectives
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all reports and dashboards

Stakeholder Engagement and Team Leadership

  • Lead Data Products PMs, Data Analysts and Salesforce Teams
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners and clients to understand and anticipate their needs for and translate them into Data Products' vision and requirements
  • Oversee the design and deployment of scalable data platforms, reporting tools, predictive models, and self-service analytics.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree and significant experience (10+ years) in delivering technical and/or operational change.
  • Experience in data management, data governance, or product ownership within financial services preferably insurance
  • Proven experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders and partners
  • Deep understanding of insurance operations and data ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Snowflake) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g. HIPAA)
  • Agile/Scrum certification or experience leading agile product teams.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and change management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $170,000 to $200,000 per year .

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company's performance. We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs.
