Administrative Officer

This position provides administrative coordination and support for Media Services for Emergency Medical Services for Children. This position provides coordination for educational media production and conferences, federal and state grants fiscal management, and office management activities such as managing product and services requisitions, team calendars and schedules, meeting planning and archiving, and production of print materials for events.
Position Duties- Assist EMS Training Specialists and Managers with processing certification, licensure, and renewal for ALS, BLS and EMD in a timely manner.
- Handle phone calls from clinicians dealing with questions regarding licensing; renewal, reciprocity, reinstatement, extension, change of information, etc.
- Oversee customer service management of the office secretaries to include; customer service training, oversight and create a weekly and monthly compliance report, complaint log and data for the Director. Oversee KACE tickets and create a weekly and monthly QA/QI report to include compliance rating.
- Report for all OCS team members for the Director. Schedule and administer in house examinations and assist with off-site examination administration at regional offices.
- Compile ALS, BLS and EMD Data for the Director and MIEMSS leadership. Assist in the tracking and administration of the ALS and EMD grant programs.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
- Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
- Two years of professional experience working with federal and state grants.
- Two years of professional experience using Excel functions or formulas in spreadsheets.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
