Development Executive

The Development Executive's role involves overseeing mixed-use and residential developments from inception to opening, ensuring strategic direction, and managing design and construction teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Fee-Based Development: Source third-party fee development opportunities for the company.
- Site Evaluation: Assess and analyze mixed-use and residential sites, interacting with local municipalities and the brokerage community.
- Due Diligence: Identify and assess risks including entitlements, leasing, market conditions, and tenant interest.
- Land Acquisition: Negotiate land purchase agreements with upper management approval.
- Entitlements: Acquire necessary entitlements and permits, coordinating with internal teams.
- Leasing: Collaborate with leasing staff to achieve pro-forma objectives and maintain tenant relationships.
- Financial Management: Manage project pro forma, business planning, and budget oversight.
- Communications Management: Regularly report project status to management, partners, and investors.
- 8-10 years in real estate development with a focus on mixed-use and residential projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) and an MBA.
- Proven experience in residential development with strong industry relationships.
- High ethical standards and a drive for results.
- Risk assessment and management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
**Location:** This position is based in Columbus, Ohio with travel required for development projects.
