We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team on a contractor-to-hire basis.

Job Summary: The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent support to employees. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing support to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.
  • Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related transactions.
  • Analyze and evaluate benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new benefits programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records and documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute benefits communications to employees.
  • Handle benefits-related audits and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local benefits regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and benefits administration software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification.
  • Experience with vendor management and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of wellness programs and initiatives.
