ABOUT THIS ROLE
St. Michael's is hiring for a Strategy and Business Development Intern to support the Business Development Team. In this role, you will support the entire business development process from market research to proposal submission. Your communication skills will be beneficial as you interact with various levels of management throughout St. Michael's Inc. REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing a BS in Business, Marketing, Engineering, International Business, Finance, Project Management, Anthropology, Criminal Justice or related major interested in putting their skills to work as a Business Development Intern.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive direct exposure to several areas of the St. Michael's Inc. Growth Team, which is comprised of Contracts, Strategy and Business Development, Capture Management, Proposal Operations, Marketing & Communications, and an introduction to common government market research concepts.
  • Perform opportunity identification and customer research using online research portals such as
  • Data mine using the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) and other tools to analyze government spending trends.
  • Help format/review proposal resumes, create graphics, conduct light editing, and assist proposal operations team with production.
  • Review Past Performance Narratives for subcontracted work.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Compensation: $14 - $15 per hour
