Job Summary

Wolfgang Puck Catering is seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Sous Chef to join our LA Commissary team. This role requires leadership of a dedicated team of 15-20 pastry associates to produce high-quality, high-volume pastries for exclusive and unique events. The ideal candidate brings at least five years in a similar management role, with proven skills in large-scale, detail-oriented culinary production.

As part of our team, you’ll work alongside the legendary Wolfgang Puck, bringing creativity and precision to every event. You will collaborate with both senior and junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and growth within the pastry team.

In this role, you will oversee all pastry production, manage culinary functions, and maintain safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include cost control, menu planning, inventory management, and implementing new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control costs and manage expenditures for the commissary account
  • Plan and create menus with a focus on precision and creativity
  • Oversee purchasing and inventory management
  • Launch new culinary initiatives in collaboration with the broader culinary and marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • 5+ years of pastry management experience, ideally in high-volume catering or events
  • Strong experience in cost control and budget management
  • A passion for continuous learning and development in a premier foodservice environment
