A client of ours is searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Spring, Texas. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for reviewing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining vendor relationships. You will also be tasked with managing office supplies and handling administrative support duties. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and would interview and start immediately, apply today


Responsibilities:

• Review invoices for adequate documentation and approval before processing payments.

• Establish accounts with new vendors and provide necessary credit applications and references.

• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and follow up on open issues.

• Accurately and efficiently process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.

• Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all outstanding invoices are accounted for and resolved promptly.

• Allocate expenses correctly by coding invoices with the appropriate general ledger account numbers and cost centers.

• Professionally communicate with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and invoice inquiries.

• Maintain organized and current accounts payable files for audit and reference purposes.

• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including sorting, distributing, and processing.

• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.

• Provide general administrative support including answering and directing phone calls and greeting visitors.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Runs

• Proficiency in Coding Invoices

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Demonstrable experience in Invoice Processing

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience in using QuickBooks and/or NetSuite

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Strong attention to detail

• Good organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High degree of accuracy in work

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
