We are in search of a meticulous Administrative Assistant for our client in the Non-Profit organization located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role primarily revolves around handling and organizing critical documents, ensuring compliance with our retention policy, and working closely with our file room personnel. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to the document retention policy by appropriately disposing of unnecessary documents

• Collaborate with file room personnel to review and organize files and folders

• Execute detailed examination of paperwork to ensure they meet the necessary standards

• Manage a wide range of documents including but not limited to client files and procurement records

• Utilize Microsoft Word and Outlook for correspondence and data entry tasks

• Handle and resolve issues that may arise during the document purge process

• Work effectively with a team of four individuals, contributing to a harmonious work environment

• Possess a deep understanding of the process of paper files and the ability to discern relevant information

• Implement effective filing and purging systems to maintain organization and efficiency

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook is essential for managing emails and scheduling appointments

• Mastery of Microsoft Word is required for creating, editing, and formatting documents

• Ability to handle correspondence professionally, including drafting letters and responding to inquiries

• Experience with data entry is necessary for managing and updating databases

• Knowledge of purging protocols is needed for maintaining the organization's records

• Familiarity with filing systems is crucial for organizing and retrieving documents
