Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Officer in Lubbock, Texas. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in the mortgage and home equity origination and closing process, providing exceptional service and financial solutions to our clients. Your ability to build long-lasting relationships through problem-solving and active listening will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:
• Originate, process, and close a variety of mortgage loan types, including purchase, refinance, home equity, and land purchases.
• Complete mortgage applications from start to finish.
• Prepare preliminary disclosure documents for client review.
• Order and analyze title research reports, appraisals, survey, and pest inspection reports.
• Understand and interpret appraisal, survey, and pest reports to ensure accurate loan processing.
• Order flood certificates and tax contracts as part of the loan processing procedure.
• Understand title commitments to ensure accurate loan processing.
• Prepare closing documents in collaboration with Title companies.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment by advancing management's directives and consistently demonstrating a positive example for others.• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Mortgage Industry
• Proficient in Mortgage Loan Origination and Mortgage Loan Underwriting
• Experience in Mortgage Financing - Lending and Mortgage Underwriting
• Understanding of Mortgage Servicing and Mortgage Documents
• Familiarity with Residential Mortgage Lending and Mortgages - Residential
• Knowledge of Bank Relations and Closing Processes
• Proven ability to ensure Compliance in all operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Committed to providing excellent customer service
• Proficient in the use of computer applications related to the job
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
