Job DescriptionJob Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the manufacturing industry located in Roseville, Minnesota. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, processing credit applications, and handling account disputes. This role also includes customer service interactions and process refinement.


Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain new customer accounts, including sales tax information

• Ensure accurate processing of customer credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits

• Analyze customer accounts exceeding authorization limits and make limit recommendations

• Perform customer account reconciliation, identify and resolve billing discrepancies

• Engage in collection activities and make recommendations for doubtful accounts and debt write-offs

• Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Apply customer payments and credits, process customer refund checks, and handle bad debt write-offs and recoveries

• Create retainage and NSF charge invoices

• Maintain and update various department spreadsheets and reports

• Collaborate with Business Analyst on system updates and improvements, identify and drive process improvements to completion.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Demonstrable experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven ability in managing Billing Functions and Cash Activity
• Experience in Check Processing and handling Corporate Credit
• Knowledge of Credit, Commercial Credit, Credit Applications, and Credit Approvals processes
• Ability to effectively manage Credit Holds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
