Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist to join our team. This role requires onsite presence four days a week at our Saint Paul, MN location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate timely and accurate customer invoices, process and record payments, resolve issues, and maintain documentation.
  • Perform accounting postings and banking reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
  • Review and prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of issues.
  • Interact with customers via phone and email to resolve discrepancies and billing issues, and facilitate payment of invoices.
  • Communicate with coworkers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Follow policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Identify and execute process improvement opportunities and efficiencies, utilizing system functionality and enhancements to streamline processes.
  • Follow appropriate internal controls and update internal control documentation as needed.
  • Support recurring audit requirements.
  • Participate as needed on special projects.
  • Back up accounts payable functions as needed, including ensuring accurate and proper coding of vendor invoices received and obtaining required approval, verifying PO's have been submitted and approved, preparing and issuing payments, and maintaining documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Customer-oriented with a positive and self-starter attitude who also works well within a team.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
