We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Mailroom Assistant in New York. The role requires the individual to handle incoming and outgoing mail, manage departmental supplies, and assist with various office tasks within our organization.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee the regulation of postage meters and manage the use of courier services.

• Handle incoming and outgoing mail for the office.

• Monitor departmental stock and supplies, maintaining records of orders and receipts.

• Interact with vendors for paper, product, and supplies, keeping track of order status and upcoming calls.

• Assist in setting up conference rooms for meetings and special events, including adjusting boardroom tables as needed.

• Replenish kitchen and pantry supplies daily.

• Assist in the installation and repair of shelving units, bookcases, cabinets, etc.

• Respond promptly and effectively to changing work environments and priorities.

• Deliver excellent customer service to both external and internal operations.

• Exhibit proficient use of computer software including Office Suite, UPS-online, FedEx online.

• Showcase excellent organizational skills to efficiently manage a multifaceted workload with a high degree of accuracy.

• Solve problems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Display excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Cultivate respectful, strategic, and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.

• Proficient in data entry tasks
• Experience with deliveries
• Knowledge of UPS FedEx operations
• Familiarity with UPS Shipping processes
• Experience with FedEX services
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
