Job Description:

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for processing journal entries, completing monthly reconciliations, and preparing financial reports to ensure the accurate maintenance of the company’s financial records. This role involves working closely with the accounting team and other departments to support day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with internal policies. The individual in this role will analyze basic financial data, assist with ad hoc projects, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process journal entries and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other related reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve any accounting issues.
• Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the department’s accounting structure and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for audit and internal review purposes.

Qualifications:

• Education: An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Entry-level candidates with relevant internships or 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance are encouraged to apply.

o Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
o Proven ability to analyze financial data and evaluate systems and processes.
o Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
