Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and customer/patient-focused individual to join our Patient Services team within our surgical office. In this role, you will support patients over the phone in their scheduling needs via inbound calls. We strive for first-call resolution for appointment scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, patient registration, and documentation in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will take an average of 40-60 calls per day in a typical 8-hour day. 
  • This role is not patient facing, it will be all back-end duties.
  • Schedule appointments and update patient records.
  • Assist with patient inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment. 
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred.
  • Prior EMR experience preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Details: 

  • Pay cycle – weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.
  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 8:00am – 4:30pm & Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm (36 hours per week)
  • Onsite position – 5 days per week.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
