Our client, a sustainable and highly successful clothing company, is seeking an Associate Director of Human Resources to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will report directly to the COO, operating as the senior HR leader and responsible for shaping both high-level people strategies and day-to-day execution of HR operations. As the most senior HR professional in the company, you will play a key role in driving culture and supporting growth. ***This is a hybrid role located in San Francisco, CA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR functions, partnering with leadership to align people strategy with company goals
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and employee development programs
  • Administer benefits programs, manage open enrollment, and ensure compliance with labor laws across all states
  • Own HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now, Lattice, Paradigm) and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Plan and execute company-wide events, employee appreciation efforts, and learning & development programs
  • Guide managers through performance reviews, feedback sessions, PIPs, and terminations
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting and optimize the recruitment process across the organization

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role (experience in smaller organizations is optimal)
  • Experience as an HR professional in the retail industry is a plus
  • Maintain an adaptable and hands-on approach
  • A problem-solver who is excited about shaping the future of a growing company and can navigate ambiguity with creativity
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • A flexible and limber mindset, able to manage a wide range of responsibilities and priorities with limited resources and a focus on results

 

Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000 with excellent benefits
