Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Patient Care Coordinator for a field-based, patient-facing role in the Emergency Department. In this position, you will greet patients, complete bedside registration, collect demographic information, obtain necessary signatures for required documentation, and handle payments through various methods. This fast-paced role requires the ability to multitask and build strong relationships with patients and team members.


**Key Responsibilities:**

- Greet and welcome patients upon arrival.

- Coordinate patient flow to reduce wait times and ensure a smooth experience.

- Assist patients with intake processes, ensuring all necessary information is gathered.

- Process walk-in patients and visitors efficiently.

- Confirm patient eligibility and verify insurance benefits.

- Accurately input demographic and billing information into the system.

- Schedule appointments using computerized scheduling programs, if necessary.

- Explain financial responsibilities, payment options, and collection procedures to patients and guarantors.

- Counsel patients on insurance benefits and recommend financial assistance options when appropriate.

- Accept payments and co-pays from patients via cash, credit, debit, or check.

- Communicate effectively with insurance companies, external agencies, patients, physicians, and fellow team members.



**Required Qualifications:**

- High School Diploma/GED or higher.

- 1+ years of customer service experience.

- Ability to work any full-time shift between 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, including flexibility for overtime and weekends.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
