Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth registration and scheduling of patients. Your primary focus will be on verifying patient information, confirming insurance benefits, and accurately entering demographic and billing data into our computer system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient information and confirm insurance benefits
  • Enter demographic and billing data into our computer system
  • Schedule appointment times using computerized scheduling programs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members
  • Perform bed control duties, including reviewing unit census and monitoring bed assignments
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • No experience required, but a willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment is essential
