Senior Research Associate, Delivery Sciences

As a Senior Research Associate, you will join the Delivery Sciences team and embrace the opportunity to transform amazing sciences and technologies into powerful cures. You will be responsible for providing formulation support in within the LNP platform group, exploring how lipid chemistry, composition, formulation process and cargo modulate the biophysical properties and in vitro/in vivo activity of LNPs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulation and characterization of LNP and nanoparticle delivery systems (Dynamic light scattering, Ribogreen).
- Exploring new LNP characterization tools and their utility in rational design of LNP systems particularly assays that elucidate the interactions between LNPs and serum proteins.
- Conduct experiments, independently and in collaboration with colleagues in support of project goals.
- Communicate research and development findings with internal and external partners.
- Assist in maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and the ordering, and receiving of lab supplies.
REQUIREMENTS
Your experience working with lipid-based delivery systems and how to assess their characteristics and function will enable you to be successful. Most importantly, if you have an enthusiastic curiosity to develop LNP processes and learn about the future of medicine in gene editing, we strongly encourage you to apply Other qualifications and desired skills include:
- MS or BS with 3+ years of experience
- Previous experience with LNP formulation and characterization is a must.
- Experience with protein characterization methods (purification methods, ELISA, etc.) a plus
- Organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrated independent thinker who continuously seeks innovative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills
