Patient Service Representative Opportunity

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a strong Patient Service Representative to work with one of our clients in West Chester, Pa.

Position Overview:

The PSR plays a key role in collaborating with hospital services, medical staff, and administration to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves active participation in quality control and performance improvement initiatives.
- Candidates must have experience with Epic and insurance verification.

Responsibilities Include:

- Answering phone calls
- Verifying patient information
- Confirming eligibility and benefits, securing authorizations/pre-certifications
- Collecting copays
- Liaising with insurance companies to ensure proper CPT and ICD coding
- Scanning documents into the EHR
- Serving as a scheduler when needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in patient registration and insurance verification
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, patients, families, and vendors
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving and planning abilities
- Experience using Epic
