Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Maritime Center Specialist I. This role will support the overall function of Cruise and Nauticus events, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong understanding of cash handling procedures.

In this role, you will greet and interact with guests, answer on-site questions, process monetary transactions, and maintain accurate records. You will also assist with special events, provide information about exhibits and programs, and promote membership enrollment and renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with guests
  • Answer on-site guest questions and resolve issues
  • Accurately process monetary transactions and adhere to cash handling policies
  • Maintain and update membership database
  • Support events by staffing check-ins, sales, and maintaining lines
  • Perform end-of-day sales reconciliation and contribute to preparation/closeout of tills

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in similar environments: guest relations, entertainment, or educational institutions
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
