Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring step-down services, focusing on their unique needs and promoting a smooth transition to general care.
- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit, identifying potential issues and taking prompt action to address them.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, always prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- Two years of recent Step Down experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
