Job Title: Maritime Center Specialist I Position

Salary: $15.00 Hourly

Location: Norfolk, VA

This position is intermittent part-time working 20 hours per week. Includes weekends, may include some evenings and holidays.

We are seeking a skilled individual to support the overall function of Cruise and Nauticus events as a Maritime Center Specialist I at the City of Norfolk, VA.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cash handling and customer service, with excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with guests.
  • Answer on-site guest questions and resolve guest issues.
  • Accurately process monetary transactions and adhere to all cash handling policies.
  • Process admission tickets, membership enrollments/renewals/gifts through CRM software.
  • Maintain and update membership database ensuring accuracy.
  • Support events by staffing check ins, membership sales, and maintaining lines.
