Director of Clinical Operations

Bell-Minor Home Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Clinical Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the completion of MDS assessments and ensuring compliance with RAI guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Medicare Eligibility and Entitlement: Identify and verify Medicare entitlement and eligibility for prospective residents.
- Chart Audits and Documentation: Conduct weekly chart audits to assess documentation support for skilled Medicare coverage and monitor MDS documentation and charting requirements.
- Case Mix Scores and Optimization: Chart MDS and pertinent narrative data to optimize case mix scores and ensure accurate billing.
- Daily Assessments and Care Planning: Conduct daily assessments of Medicare patients and coordinate therapy, care mapping, and discharge planning.
- Weekly Meetings and Case Management: Conduct weekly Medicare/case management meetings to review plan of care and ensure seamless coordination of services.
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Perform other tasks as assigned and conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
- Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BS preferred. Three years of nursing experience in a long term care environment preferred. MDS coordinator experience required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid RN license in the state employed. RAC certified.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team. Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of Medicare regulations. Ability to be accurate, concise, and detail-oriented. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
