Key Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Architect to enhance our Cyber Intelligence team.

In this position, you will engage with a highly scalable enterprise architecture, constructed with Java utilizing Free and Open Source Software solutions such as Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to facilitate the execution of data-centric analytics on a managed infrastructure. We are looking for a Systems Architect to strengthen the existing foundational team. A successful candidate will possess extensive experience in Linux system administration on large-scale Hadoop and Accumulo clusters, specifically using CentOS 7 or RHEL. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in Linux, Python/Bash scripting, and Configuration Management Tools (such as Salt, Puppet, or Ansible), along with some familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Essential Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
    • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
      Experience in defining system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems is necessary.
  • Familiarity with data governance processes (DMRs, DLMS, DSW, DART) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Security and Compliance regarding data management and access control, as well as the catalog labeling process, is highly desirable.

Salary Range

$190,000 - $304,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this role based on experience and other relevant factors.
