Role Responsibilities:
As a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer, you will:

  • Conduct analyses to enhance the security posture of our networks and identify operational challenges.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing security measures and propose enhancements as needed.
  • Establish a structured approach to evaluate and refine current security controls and processes.
  • Lead compliance initiatives related to Network Access Control and associated frameworks.
  • Assist in the deployment and upkeep of security management solutions in line with mandated standards.
  • Examine logs and oversee the monitoring of authorized and unauthorized devices within the network.
  • Track alerts for specific incidents related to network gateways or firewalls, focusing on unexpected traffic that may signal a security breach.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to oversee policy modifications, privileged user actions, and data transfers to ensure ongoing policy adherence.
  • Coordinate the administration of cybersecurity tools to meet diverse operational requirements.
  • Support the Vulnerability Management Team to ensure security architecture aligns with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in IT.
  • Experience in security systems analysis and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in managing enterprise security tools, including endpoint security solutions.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and RHEL operating systems.
  • Knowledge of security control assessments based on cybersecurity principles.
  • Expertise in Network Access Control methodologies.
  • Prior experience with compliance solutions.
  • Experience in implementing security hardening guidelines.
  • Ability to respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Self-motivation and the capability to work independently.
  • Possession of relevant industry certifications.
  • An active security clearance and the ability to obtain higher-level clearance as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates will stand out if they have:

  • A comprehensive understanding of host-based security systems and device control solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, network security, and enterprise technologies.
  • Experience utilizing data analysis tools to monitor and respond to security anomalies.
  • Relevant industry certifications for cybersecurity roles.
