Senior Linux Engineer with Cybersecurity Expertise

We are seeking a talented Senior Level Red Hat Linux Engineer to join our team. This individual will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and have experience in shell scripting, C++, and/or Java.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) transitions, accreditation, and documentation for DoD systems across various Department of Defense (DoD) networks at different classification levels to support Authorization To Operate (ATO).
  • Implement robust security measures by adhering to DoD STIG/SRG security best practices.
  • Automate system maintenance, installation, software configuration, and other tasks using scripting languages such as Bash/Python or specialized tools.
  • Analyze and develop secure coding solutions within complex software systems based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, C++, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript for DoD applications.
  • Troubleshoot and validate static code analysis (SCA) findings from the Fortify tool in developer code to ensure secure application development.
  • Validate application functionality after security patch installations.
  • Create Linux, antivirus, and application security patch bundles for distribution to deployed systems.
  • Configure and maintain networked computer systems, encompassing hardware, system software, and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues effectively.
  • Replace and upgrade defective or outdated components to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Monitor system performance to guarantee smooth and secure operation.
  • Document processes for employees to successfully work within our computing system.
  • Continuously improve processes to facilitate seamless customer interaction on internal and external connections involving diverse data types and capabilities.
  • Provide network and security engineering support for internal systems integration projects, including cloud-based services, virtual infrastructure, servers, and storage environments.
  • Offer critical system or network outage support during normal business hours to ensure swift resolution.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in Linux administration and cybersecurity.
