  • Leading various systems engineering initiatives for both existing and prospective communication systems from conceptualization through engineering development and operational maintenance.
  • Evaluating system-level behaviors and interactions within systems of systems, recommending enhancements to support communication objectives.

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in information technology/science, computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Possess a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in engineering Department of Defense (DoD) network and software systems.
  • Are skilled in detailing network, software, and system designs through various documentation types, including interface control documents and capability descriptions.
  • Have familiarity with foundational networking technologies such as routers, switches, and security devices.
  • Are open to periodic travel, up to 10% of the time.
  • Can obtain an Interim Top Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately achieve a TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will undergo a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility includes U.S. citizenship.

  • Possess a Master's degree or PhD in information technology/science, computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Have at least twenty years of experience in engineering DoD network systems of systems.
  • Are knowledgeable about planning and acquisition processes for DoD communication systems.
  • Are proficient with model-based systems engineering tools to facilitate systems engineering analysis.
  • Can articulate the operation of key inter-networking and network security protocols and understand how interactions between layers affect system performance.
  • Have experience with software engineering methodologies and practices.
  • Possess leadership or hands-on experience with operational DoD networks and communication systems.
