Job Summary

Liberty ARC is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Intervention Specialist to provide psychological and behavioral services to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all regulations and maintain accurate records in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Psychological Services: Deliver high-quality psychological services to individuals in programs, adhering to Department and Agency policy/procedure, State, local, and Federal regulations.
  2. Record and Maintain Records: Accurately record and maintain individual's behavioral records in compliance with all department and agency policies/procedures.
  3. Training and Development: Provide training to agency personnel, including home and worksite staff, to ensure effective implementation of behavioral support plans.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Participate in team meetings and surveys as part of individuals' overall plan of care, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Human Rights Committee review, plan fading and requirements, tracking and programmatic compliance.
  6. Behavior Support Plans: Review and monitor behavior support plans to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  7. Caseload Coverage: Participate in additional caseload coverage as assigned, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  8. Professional Development: Pursue personal and professional development, attending mandated agency training as required.
  9. Effective Communication: Ensure communication is accurate, timely, and appropriate.
Requirements
  1. Master's Degree: Possess a Master's Degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology.
  2. Experience and Certification: Have at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special training in the field, and hold National board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) or New York State license in mental health counseling.
  3. Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid NYS driver's license.
