In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to patients, colleagues, and referral sources by managing and coordinating front office operations.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in an administrative capacity, demonstrating strong computer skills and a commitment to customer service.


Your Contributions:
Greet individuals as they arrive at the clinic.

Inform patients about expected wait times and any delays.

Facilitate patient check-ins (including confirming demographic and insurance details).

Complete registration for walk-in patients.

Collect patient financial responsibilities (such as deductibles, copays, and co-insurance).


Schedule follow-up appointments for patients during checkout, including casting, delivery, and care plan sessions.

Handle incoming calls

Serve as a resource for Hanger clinic services (including patient experience programs, support groups, and additional resources).

Assist the Revenue Cycle Management team as necessary in gathering missing or additional patient information.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic health records for our patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy standards.

A satisfactory performance on a skills assessment, which Hanger will administer during the selection process.

Preferred:
Experience in a medical office setting.

Familiarity with EMR systems (NextGen).


Knowledge of state, federal, and regional collection and reimbursement laws, HIPAA regulations, and medical insurance terminology for various plans, including coding and billing protocols.

Ability to type 40 words per minute with accuracy is preferred.
