This position involves operating complex radio and telephone equipment to dispatch appropriate officers and resources to incidents. You will answer incoming telephone calls from the public, allied agencies, officers, and the media.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing critical emergency response support to the public and law enforcement agencies
  • Coordinating and dispatching emergency responders to incidents and emergencies
  • Maintaining accurate records of incidents and responses
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of radio communications equipment

Requirements

This position requires a high level of situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You must be able to type at a minimum speed of 40 wpm and provide a valid typing certificate prior to appointment.
