Grosvenor's North American real estate division has officially announced the advancement of Sean Wheeler to the position of Senior Vice President, Co-Investment. In this elevated capacity, Mr. Wheeler will be responsible for spearheading the growth and expansion of Grosvenor's Structured Development Finance (SDF) initiative across key markets.
Operating from the Vancouver office, Mr. Wheeler has been instrumental in the development of the SDF business line, which allocates capital to prominent residential and multifamily developers. This initiative has successfully funded numerous development projects, contributing to the creation of thousands of residential units throughout North America.
Mr. Wheeler recently led a significant SDF transaction, securing financing for a major residential community project. His leadership in this area has been pivotal in enhancing Grosvenor's portfolio and market presence.
The SDF program continues to actively seek collaborations with developers focused on the construction of mixed-use developments, apartments, condominiums, and townhomes in various strategic locations.

With over a decade of experience at Grosvenor, Mr. Wheeler began his journey as an intern and has most recently held the title of Vice President, Co-Investment. His expertise spans both Canadian and U.S. equity and lending markets, having directly originated numerous loans, resulting in the delivery of thousands of homes. Throughout his tenure, he has supported the development of a significant number of rental and for-sale homes, showcasing his commitment to enhancing housing availability.
Mr. Wheeler is also actively engaged with the Urban Land Institute and has contributed to various initiatives aimed at fostering industry growth and mentorship. He holds a degree from a prestigious business school and is recognized as a registered sub-mortgage broker.
