Strategic Business Consultant

Core Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaboration among various functional teams to analyze and interpret organizational challenges and requirements to formulate precise Business Specifications.
  • Conduct thorough requirements assessment.
  • Assess business workflows, devise and execute effective solutions, and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to address challenges and successfully advance projects to fruition.
  • Document project initiatives comprehensively and relay updates and outcomes.
  • Ensure all project documentation is thorough, precise, and stored for validation and auditing purposes.
  • Collect essential information from meetings and aid in developing and disseminating reports to business units and leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with internal business units, IT, and external partners.
  • Verify that solutions align with business needs and specifications.
  • Effectively oversee projects, including formulating plans and tracking performance metrics.
  • Prioritize projects based on regulatory, financial, and customer implications; escalate issues as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders.
  • Guarantee timely and precise execution of projects.
  • Research data necessary for executing queries accurately.
  • Operate within a controlled framework to minimize risks and deliver accurate results by adhering to established processes.
Additional Duties
  • Ensure business requirements, structure, output, and approvals for queries are documented and stored for audit and review.
  • Collaborate with other teams to foster relationships by engaging stakeholders to build trust, resolve issues, achieve consensus, and meet objectives as necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating efforts to investigate discrepancies and errors related to business processes to identify root causes and solutions.
  • Support in identifying and/or addressing risk and control issues affecting the business, including assisting in conducting control assessments or gap analyses for existing processes as required.
  • Review, analyze, and prioritize initiatives, transactions, and processes with compliance and regulatory implications.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various functions/departments and project teams across multiple locations.
  • Partner with other teams to cultivate relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, resolve issues, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Design and redesign processes for continuous improvement utilizing Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the Financial Sector is preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and pride in performance.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and collaborate closely with them to develop solutions.
  • Exceptional documentation capabilities.
  • Experience in crafting Business Specifications, reports, and presentations.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, personable, meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented with the capacity to work independently.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and follow initiatives through to completion.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Excel, SQL, and MS PowerPoint.
