Job Overview

At Peak Pediatric Care, we are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our vibrant practice. Founded by Dr. Katie Hansen, our facility is committed to delivering exceptional pediatric care.

Role Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include preparing patients for their appointments, taking vital signs, and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering quality care.

Your key duties will encompass:

  • Collecting patient vitals and conducting intake assessments
  • Administering immunizations
  • Performing tests for influenza, COVID-19, strep throat, and RSV
  • Maintaining accurate records of all patient visits and vaccinations
  • Ensuring examination rooms are clean and well-stocked
  • Preparing laboratory samples for outgoing tests

This is a full-time role with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including occasional Saturday shifts from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, averaging once per month.

Strong attention to detail, leadership qualities, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification and prior experience as a Medical Assistant, especially in a primary care environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with medical office software and systems.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in healthcare administration are advantageous.
