Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Operations Manager to lead our plumbing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our service technicians, ensuring seamless execution of jobs, and driving departmental growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with service technicians to ensure efficient job execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop the Service staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Evaluate workloads and schedule service work to maximize profits and optimize manpower utilization.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the service department.
  • Ensure timely ordering and dispensing of materials and equipment for scheduled jobs.
  • Schedule repairs to minimize downtime and ensure efficient job completion.
  • Conduct research and participate in marketing efforts to promote the department.
  • Generate reports and metrics on departmental operations, inventory, tools, and vehicles.
  • Review reports with management to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to employees.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance to protect assets and ensure controlled service.
  • Accountable for bottom-line profitability and growth of the service department.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in plumbing or a related field.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Journeyman or Tradesman certification.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Background experience with financial management.
  • Honest, dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
