JOB SUMMARY:


At Aurora Recovery Center, we are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team. The role involves maintaining clear communication with the Program Director, staff, attending clinicians, and families of clients.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

You will oversee all facets of care for clients within your assigned caseload, which includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group counseling. Crisis intervention, family contact, discharge planning, and comprehensive documentation are also key responsibilities.

Facilitate both process-oriented and educational group sessions for clients.


Complete thorough biopsychosocial assessments and other relevant evaluations promptly.


Engage with families to provide clinical updates (with appropriate consent) on a mutually agreed schedule. You will enhance families' understanding of addiction and dual diagnosis treatment, progress, and ongoing care recommendations.

Conduct family therapy sessions as needed and offer referrals to community support services.

Document relevant client information based on evaluations and interactions during group and individual sessions to aid in the treatment process.

Familiarity with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria is essential.


Maintain clear, concise, and timely documentation of services provided in progress notes.


Record client progress or regression in accordance with established policies and procedures.


Participate in daily staffing meetings and facilitate team discussions for discharge planning for respective clients.


Actively contribute as a team member in treatment team meetings, providing insights regarding patient needs.


Collaborate with medical staff to deliver comprehensive treatment services.


Exhibit effective communication skills and demonstrate knowledge of program policies and procedures.


Adapt positively to changing situations in the workplace.


Work collaboratively as a team member, showcasing professionalism and maturity under stress.


Immediately report any abuse of client rights.


Possess knowledge of procedures and responsibilities in involuntary hospitalization scenarios.


Engage in performance improvement monitoring and evaluation activities.


Act decisively and effectively in managing staff, clients, and other personnel during emergencies.


Perform additional duties as required.



QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Psychology, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution is required.

A valid license or registered intern status in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, or Psychology in the State of California is necessary.

A minimum of two years' experience in psychosocial assessment and psychotherapeutic methods in a clinical setting is preferred.

Preferred qualifications include LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, CADC, or any related Addictions Professional Certification.

APCC is required.

Significant experience with chronic disorders is preferred, along with previous clinical responsibilities in crisis intervention and psychotherapy.

A clear understanding of the ASAM Criteria is essential.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional standards related to client treatment and confidentiality.

The ability to work effectively as a team member and possess strong management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills is vital.

Ability to function under stress and adapt to departmental needs is necessary.

Adherence to the Association for Ambulatory Behavioral Healthcare Code of Ethics is expected.

Knowledge of state guidelines and proficiency in verbal and written communication skills are required.

Understanding of state and federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws, as well as knowledge of drug-free workplace policies and procedures, is essential.

Familiarity with workplace violence protocols and current technology is important.
