Position: Beverage Service Specialist - Holiday Inn Beaumont

Role Summary:

The Beverage Service Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional beverage and food service to guests in a welcoming and efficient manner. This role involves preparing drinks for patrons and assisting fellow servers while also managing transactions for the lounge area.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to secure any necessary government-issued licenses or certifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Fundamental knowledge of drink preparation and the service of various alcoholic beverages. Liquor certification may be required by local or state regulations.
  • Customer service orientation with an understanding of service principles and practices.
  • A high school diploma is mandatory.
  • Previous bartending experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the bar is properly set up and stocked on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the preparation and storage of garnishes, juices, and other perishables to maintain product quality.
  • Welcomes guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Promotes beverage orders and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Records orders in the point-of-sale system and generates checks for guests, including those served by other beverage staff.
  • Handles all payment transactions for beverage sales, ensuring accuracy to balance cash at the end of shifts.
  • Secures and stores all beverage, food, and equipment items appropriately.
  • Manages cash drops and ensures bank security.
  • Performs general cleaning duties to comply with health regulations.
  • Follows all state, federal, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
