Compensation: In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $150,000 - $183,406. Final compensation will be influenced by various factors including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role does not offer remote work options.

Additional Compensation: This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Position Responsibilities:

Bluestaq is seeking a Principal Program Manager to oversee critical programs from inception to completion. The successful candidate will leverage their program management and systems engineering expertise to drive initiatives aligned with Bluestaq's strategic vision. Your effectiveness in this role will hinge on your adeptness in navigating program management complexities, your proficiency in agile methodologies, and your outstanding communication skills.

Key Duties:

  • Building Relationships in the Defense Sector: Foster strong connections with Bluestaq clients, stakeholders, and partners, aligning the team towards common goals.
  • Program Lifecycle Oversight: Skillfully manage programs from concept through to execution, focusing on strategic planning, monitoring, and control to ensure success.
  • Leadership in Strategy: Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with Bluestaq's strategic objectives and optimal resource utilization.
  • Expertise in Schedule Management: Develop and implement detailed planning and scheduling to maintain flexible and successful program timelines.
  • Advanced Reporting Techniques: Improve program planning and reporting processes, ensuring comprehensive documentation and insightful analysis.
  • Technical Guidance: Utilize your technical knowledge and operational insights to positively impact program outcomes, resolve conflicts, and foster consensus.
  • Customer-Focused Approach: Serve as an advocate for customers within development teams, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Innovation in Project Management Tools: Enhance tools such as Confluence and Jira, creating dashboards and templates that deliver critical operational and performance insights.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 12+ years in Program Management and Systems Engineering, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Defense Sector Knowledge: Practical experience with the US Space Force and military background is advantageous.
  • Agile Methodology Proficiency: Strong understanding of Agile and traditional program management principles, with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Leadership and Influence: Proven capability to build trust and guide teams and stakeholders through influence.
  • Mentorship Skills: Strong mentoring abilities combined with exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Proficient in identifying and mitigating potential risks to program success.
  • Analytical Skills: Skilled in evaluating alternative solutions and making informed decisions.
  • Multitasking Ability: Capable of managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly.

  • Travel Requirements: This position may require travel within and outside the continental United States.

Clearance Requirement: This role necessitates the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. US Citizenship is required, and candidates must agree to undergo a background screening and credit check.
